Important Model Information
Amaircare has a number of similar model numbers. Please ensure you are looking at the correct model. Filters differ depending on model.
Model 2500 is a portable room air cleaner with a hexagonal shape. The sides of the unit are perforated and act as the air intake grille.
Model 2500HV is a central ducted unit with a hexagonal shape.
The Amaircare 2500 was redesigned around March 2016.
Units manufactured before the redesign use Amaircare's moulded filter design - the main HEPA filters are hollow cylinders open on both ends; the filters are held in place by a reusable metal disc.
Units produced after the redesign use Easy Twist HEPA filters that screw into place - each filter is a cylinder open at only one end with a fixed metal lid on the other.

The Amaircare 2500 has a number of configurations. In particular, the inner carbon (3rd stage) filter comes in either a standard or plus configuration offering greater odour control. The standard version is a carbon blanket about 1/2" thick. The plus version is a metal canister filled with granular carbon pellets, also known as a VOC canister. You can purchase a standard annual kit to obtain the standard carbon blanket or a plus annual kit to obtain the VOC canister. All versions of the Amaircare 2500 can accept either configuration and you may change between configurations as you like.
